Lords of Thunder Wii VC - Image 1The Office of Film and Literature Classification (OFLC) Board has rated Puyo Puyo 2, Riot Zone, Dragon Slayer: Legend of Heroes, and Lords of Thunder for release on the Australian Wii Virtual Console Service.

What would probably excite old-school gamers is the impending arrival of Lords of Thunder. This side-scrolling shooter was originally released on the TurboGrafx 16 and was considered by many as being innovative back in its day.

It gave gamers a choice of abilities before each stage through a selection of four suits of armor. Each one is upgradable and grants various abilities that range from meteor storms to summoning a huge fire dragon to clear the screen of enemies.

No word yet from Nintendo when these games will be released on the Australian Virtual Console or how much they will cost, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for any updates regarding this.
