WIP artwork for Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix leaked

Fei Long - Image 1We’ve seen the character art teasers, and we’ve seen the sample gameplay footage. Think you’ve seen them all? Not quite yet. Most of the preliminary artwork for Capcom‘s Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (downloadable for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade) has been leaked by NeoGAF forums, and instead of throwing a hissy fit, Capcom decided to make use of the situation and posted notes about the character artwork in their development blog.

We’ve seen the character art teasers, and we’ve seen the sample gameplay footage. Think you’ve seen them all? Not quite yet. There’s still more to see from Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (downloadable for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade), and it’s not all pretty.

After getting their work-in-progress character sprite sketches for Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix leaked by a certain gaming forum, Capcom decided to take control of the situation, not by attempting to have all artworks taken down from the internet but by posting some of them in SSFIIHD Remix development blog along with helpful explanations and production notes.

From what you can already see in the artwork below, most of them are obviously not final, so there’s no need to judge how the final product would look like just be looking at these sketches. Yes, we also notice that one of them has two left feet, but that’s okay, since we don’t expect that character to be able to dance anyway. What matters is that she kicks ass.
