WoW mod: DemonTrainer(Continued)

DemonTrainerHere’s something we picked up for World of Warcraft‘s resident demon-dependent warlocks. It’s a mod called the DemonTrainer(continued), and as you can see, it’s built to help with the often complicated task of training your lackey. It does so by converting your demon trainer interface to look like other trainers, as seen in the screenshot.

Another notable feature is it memorizes what skills your demon already knows – meaning you can say goodbye to the hassle of accidentally buying duplicate books, or having to sift through pages of skills just to figure out your pet’s skill progression.

As a last clarification, this is a re-release of the past DemonTrainerFrame mod, so don’t be surprised by their similarities and be sure to read this changelog posted by the mod’s author, Quel. Many thanks for making a warlock’s life easier!

  1. Clarified the error message when you attempt to use/move bag items with the trainer frame open. DemonTrainerFrame has ALWAYS blocked any attempt to move, modify, or sell inventory items while the trainer frame is open; however, in wow2.0 the method used to block such transactions caused the “Blizzard blocked” message. Since this continued to confuse players, I have reworked the blocking mechanism to provide a more descriptive error message. You must close the demontrainer window before learning grimoires, modifying inventory, selling items, using items, etc.
  2. The beta servers have introduced some form of bug causing perfectly legitimate tooltip handlers to give UI errors. I’ve implemented a work around that seems to keep DTF working despite the bug on the beta servers.
