The time has finally arrived! Wrath of the Lich King comes to stores on November 13, and they will finally be opening their doors to players.

Mike Morhaime (CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment), COO Paul Sams and associate producer Lee Sparks will be meeting the players in person and they can’t wait to celebrate with you.  Lee Sparks will be signing copies so prepare to fall in line, which undoubtedly will be very long.

London, North America, Taipei and Seoul are where they will be launching the event wherein both the standard and collector’s edition will be available with The Art of World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King hardback book; Frosty, an exclusive in-game frost worm pet; a behind-the-scenes DVD; the official soundtrack containing 21 tracks; an exclusive mouse pad displaying a map of the newly opened continent of Northrend; and two  World of Warcraft Trading Card Game starter decks with two exclusive cards available only in the Collector’s Edition.

The expansion happens in the continent of Northrend where the terrifying Lich King Arthas Menethil was last spotted in the second sequel.  Expect to battle his armies form Howling Fjord and Borean Tundra to Icecrown Glacier.  There are 80 levels in this game and as you go to different places,  you’ll be gaining new abilities.  New features include an achievement system, expanded player-vs.-player combat options such as siege weapons and destructible buildings, and the necromantic death knight.
