X360 dashboard will receive an update

Microsoft’s Scott Henderson told Kikizo Games in a video interview held at GDC that his company is currently thinking about how to improve the 360’s dashboard. New features would include expanding the music player’s features, making video streaming less restricting, and finally the long-awaited ability to download Market Place content in the background.

The interview also deals with Microsoft’s decision to support the 1080i resolution on 360 even after Sony’s announcement to support 1080p worldwide with PS3.

Henderson also comments on the on-going HD-DVD vs. Blu-ray debate and a couple of other things (Vista, upcoming games, etc.).

Worth checking out.
