Xbox Live Activity for week of January 7: Halo 3 still on top

Major Nelson has posted the Xbox Live Activity for the week of January 7 on his blog. Unsurprisingly, Halo 3 and Halo 2 were on the top of their respective lists as the most played Xbox 360 and original Xbox games. The list also revealed that Omega Five was the best-selling Xbox Live Arcade.

Unsurprisingly, Halo 3 is on the top of the list of the most played Xbox 360 titles, followed by Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (also available on the PlayStation 3 and PC) and Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (also available on PS3, PC, Wii).

Meanwhile, on the Xbox Live Arcade, Omega Five takes first place as the most purchased game with Metal Slug 3 and Tron in second and third place respectively. Old school gamers on the original Xbox have been spending their time playing Halo 2, Battlefield 2: MC, and Star Wars: Battlefront 2.
