Nihon Falcom is rolling with the punches this week. For one, they’ve dated their two Ys games for the PSP. Previously only scheduled with a release window, we now have specific calendar dates: July 16 for Ys I & II Chronicles and September 17 for Ys 7. Pretty cool news for the Ys fans, but more of interest here is that they’re teasing everyone with the latest in their Legend of Heroes saga!

The announcement – which is more of a teaser, actually – of the new Legend of Heroes game is flying pretty low on the radar. It was revealed as part of the pre-order package for the Ys games.

See, Ys I & II Chronicles pre-orders will get you a bonus soundtrack CD from the game. But if you want a Ys 7 pre-order, that gets you Ys Music History soundtrack (from the entire series) and an artbook.

The artbook is for Legend of Heroes VII, which includes concept art and some renders for the game. Though no platform was revealed for the mysterious upcoming title, it’s very probable that LoH7 will be getting a PSP release.

This is because a) the previous remakes were released on the PSP also, and b) this artbook is bundled with a PSP game – it makes little to no sense to advertise an upcoming game for a different platform.
