Now, as promised. One at a time.

Live Play

The mechanics for this is simple. If you play as the One, you will be earning points for each mob member that you knock out. If you’re successful, you will find yourself to be the happy owner of bucketloads of Microsoft Points — up to a possible 10,000 IF you bump every single one of them off — or XBLA games.

However, if you make a mistake, the mob will be earning an Arcade game and a share of the One’s MS Points. Also, the three highest scoring mob member will be getting an Arcade game as well. And did we mention yet? This is all on top of being automatically entered into a Sweepstakes to win a Zune or a home theater system by simply answering questions during both Live and Extended Play.

Be alert because the next Live Play session is happening this Friday, July 10 at 7:00PM PST. Of course you will need to be an XBL Gold Subscriber in order to join.

1 VS 100 UK

As for the next half of this news post, yet another event is happening also on July 10, albeit it will be on the other side of the world: UK. Teaming up with Endemol, UK gamers will finally get their chance to play as either the One or the mob and outwit each other.

Said Microsoft’s Stephen McGill,

Xbox is delighted to team up with Endemol to bring the hit TV game show 1 VS 100 to the Xbox Live platform and deliver the first truly interactive game show experience. We believe consumers will really enjoy being able to take part in a real live game show, where they can have fun challenging friends, family and other LIVE members, whilst having the chance to win some really great prizes.

Now hopefully, they’ll get to join in on the Live Play and Extended Play soon as well. Looks like they’re missing quite a lot of fun compared to their US counterparts.
