1000 dollars TDU tournament registration begins today

Gamespot and Atari, the publisher’s of Test Drive: Unlimited, have teamed up to host an Xbox 360 TDU tournament, offering US/Canadian players the chance to win a slice of the $ 1000 worth of prizes up for grabs. The tournament will run from October 17 (yes, that’s tomorrow!) all the way through to October 20 on gamespot and will be open to all Total Access subscribers on GameSpot.
There is space for 48 skilled TDU gamers at the tournament which takes place over four days online, with the six fastest drivers
of the tournament being given the chance to compete in the race finale for a cut of the $ 1,000 prize. The race will be narrated by GameSpot editors who will provide play-by-play commentary of the race finale on Tournament TV. Test Drive Unlimited is the ideal game for this tournament, with more than 1000 miles of diverse Hawaiian terrain and a wealth of the most luxurious cars on the road to play with.
The prize fund of $1000 in Best Buy vouchers will be split into amounts of $600 voucher for first place, $300 voucher for second and a $100 voucher for third place. Remember, the race finale will be shown on Gamespot’s Tournament TV on Friday, October 20, at 4 p.m. PT and includes six players with just one race for the prizes.
