1UP spent two days playing Gears of War…
And dedicated a little under ten minutes of their weekly video podcast ,The 1UP Show, to talk about it. So we’ve already had Microsoft execs and Reuters (check here), and gamers (one, two) talk about Epic Games‘ Gears of War, why not give game journalists a chance? And this one, at least, features A LOT of gameplay video.
Ah, and the other features of this video podcast: 1UP’s opinion of the chess-like “stop-n-pop” gameplay, the all-around “A” button, chainsaws, the controls’ learning curve, and how with practice, you can pull moves like Cliff Bleszinski, the chainsaw, the Active Reload in-game minigame, the chainsaw, multiplayer, the chainsaw, and the chainsaw. Did we mention the chainsaw?
