2.71 SE-B” MP3 module v0.3b
Exactly a week after we brought you guys v0.3a of joek2100‘s 2.71 SE-B” MP3 module, he’s back yet again with an even better and improved release, module v0.3b.
For those who haven’t been following these MP3 modules, basically, what it does is that it lets you choose and play your own stored music while in-game. No longer do you have to put up with the annoying music that some games (unfortunately) come with, because this baby right here brings you ultimate musical freedom baybee!
To install: 1) Copy the file to the PSP folders to the root of your memory stick. 2) Run UMFR2 For GAME mode and/or UMFR2 For VSH(XMB) mode depending on where you want the module to be loaded.
Easy, right? Now, we know we already told you about this before, but for the sake of those who may have missed it, joek2100 says that he has only tested this with 2.71 SEB” with no custom gameboots/backgrounds/other prxs/etc and that these things may reduce compatibility or prevent the MP3 module from working properly. Oh, and also, he suggests waiting until a game is finished loading before you start playback.
That said, here’s the changelog for v0.3b:
- Added an independent volume button
- Should make startup faster
- Made the on screen display stay on when Note + Square is pressed
- Added volume and filename to the on screen display
