3.03 OE-A in the making, ISO compression confirmed

OH YEAH!

Viet_mode told us recently of some stuff going on across the different forums and IRC chatrooms out there in the great wide cyberspace. It seems Dark_Alex has already begun work on 3.03 OE-A, which should allow all of us to enjoy PSX games on the latest firmware that Sony‘s concocted.

More importantly, current PopStation users will be happy to know that PSX ISO compression has been confirmed. The files you’re using to play PS1 games shouldn’t end up eating your memory sticks that badly now. For now, expect to hear of an actual 3.03 OE-A release before the week ends.

For now, we’re linking to the QJ forum thread about this little development with very big implications for readers to check out. Whether you’re from DCEmu or Maxconsole or from QJ, I think it’s safe to say this is a great way to start off a new year. Cheers.
