40+ NDS Wi-Fi titles in production!

Yes, you heard it right, 40 Wi-Fi titles for the NDS are in development! On the 24th, there was a GDC conference held that bared the name “The Zen of Wi-Fi:A Postmortem of the Wireless Features of Nintendo DS.” As you can tell from the title, this was all about Nintendo’s WiFi Connection/Communications service. When we first saw the WFC launch, we were greeted with 3 games, one of those being the very successful Mario Kart DS title. Over the past few months we have seen other very successful Wi-Fi games released such as Animal Crossing and the most recent, Metroid Prime Hunters. All of these games featured Wi-Fi, and 40+ more Wi-Fi titles are expected sometime in the future! This is very exciting news if you have friends across the world with a NDS or friends in your own town that have Wi-Fi access! The PSP has only seen a select few titles produced with Infrastructure play and the NDS is already seeing more Wi-Fi titles, even after the service being enabled at the end of last year!
