60 Wii units in each Target store this Sunday

Wii at Target this Sunday - Image 1If this report turns out to be true, then you will be able to get your Wii units at retail chain Target this coming Sunday. The tip was given to online site Consumerist by a supposed employee of the said store.

The snapshot on the right was taken by that employee who apologizes for the rather blurry image. The employee then mentioned that the memo was found on her manager’s desk labeled “Strictly Confidential.”

She added that the memo is directing all stores to pull out Wii units from the shelves and put them back on again when the new shipment arrives on Sunday. Also, the allocation for each Target store was estimated at 60 Wii units.

Rival chains EB Games and Gamestop are also being rumored to have a replenished stock of Wii units this Sunday. It feels like reports like this are accurate especially now that Satoru Iwata wants Kutaragi confirmed that Nintendo is indeed increasing its Wii production output to meet demands.

It should also be remembered that the console was recently launched in Singapore. That marked the first time the Wii was distributed in a market other than North America, Japan, Europe, and Australia.
