PSP splash page for NeoFlash Spring Compo 2008 - Image 1We’ve seen a lot of interesting entries in the recently concluded NeoFlash Spring Compo 2008 homebrew coding competition. This year’s turnout was rather generous, with a total of 76 entries running for the top spots in every division.

The judges will be choosing ten winners for each of these three categories: DS homebrew games, DS homebrew applications, and PlayStation Portable homebrew games. They will also be giving away prizes to five winners in the PSP homebrew applications category.

Here are the prizes for the top three slots across the different categories:

  • First place: US$ 300 cash, or choose any one item from the final NEO product prize list.
  • Second place: US$ 200 cash, or choose any one item from the final NEO product prize list.
  • Third place: US$ 100 cash, or choose any one item from the final NEO product prize list.

Other winners can choose from any item shown on the NEO product prize list.

This year’s competition adds a new award to the list as well – the NEO Professional Reviewer Award. Six of the best reviews (taken from the top three DS and top three PSP divisions) posted on the NeoFlash forums will also be given special prizes.

Winners will be handed out their prizes this April 20, so hopeful developers and reviewers should keep their fingers crossed in the meantime.
