Microsoft Key Exec Martin Taylor Steps Down
Microsoft is slowly saying goodbye to its top execs. After Bill Gates‘ announcement that he’ll be leaving the company, it’s Martin Taylor‘s turn to bid the company adieu.
After 13 years of service to Microsoft – where at one point he worked directly with CEO Steve Ballmer – Windows Live and MSN Marketing Corporate Vice President Martin Taylor steps down from his position. It was just last March when he was appointed to lead marketing efforts for Windows Live, which will put Microsoft’s Web programs under a unified brand.
Microsoft comments, “We have made the difficult decision to part ways with Martin, but we don’t comment on personnel matters. We appreciate Martin’s contributions at Microsoft over the past 13 years.”
Martin Taylor’s resignation is effective immediately and there’s still no word as to who will fill his shoes.
