Fanjita – Not our “Fake” Downgrader

Some news has recently appeared on Fanjita’s sites explaining a recent “fake” in the homebrew scene. Most of us have seen fakes enough in the past to know that when something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. We have seen fake shells such as Biros appear, and many fake downgraders and “custom” firmwares as well. This recent news alert from Fanjita deals with a fake downgrader, something of which we should all avoid.

Recently, someone as been claiming to have a downgrader for firmwares 2.0+, and has been attempting to sell it with Fanjita’s name attached for any issues they may have with it. Fanjita has alerted all of us that this downgrader has nothing to do with him, and that if we see any such issues in the future (his name being attached to fakes) we should notify him immediately. Fanjita is a well respected developer, no one will get away with using it for evil deeds and scams, not on my watch! Now all you scallywags be careful, the homebrew scene has many evils!

So, in a few words – Do not download any downgraders unless we confirm they are real. Fanjita does not have any affiliation with these fake downgraders.
