Prey Goes Gold
Take-Two Interactive and 3D Realms publishing label, 2K, has announced today that the long awaited first-person shooter Prey, has gone gold – the master version is complete and ready for production.
Prey follows the story of a garage mechanic abducted (along with his people) to a mothership orbiting Earth. Tommy (the garage mechanic) sets out to save himself, others and eventually the planet from the alien races. Christoph Hartmann, President of 2K added:
“Prey raises the bar for first-person shooters and is a must-have game for the summer, its unique features, crisp graphics and in-depth storyline make it a truly revolutionary game. Prey is a groundbreaking first-person shooter that turns the genre upside-down with new gameplay features and next generation graphics. Breaking the traditional first-person shooter format, Prey introduces innovative gameplay elements including wall-walking, portals, spirit-walking and gravity flipping, which allows for insane eight player deathmatches”.
Prey will be available for both the Xbox 360 and PC in North America on July 11 with the Europe release slated for July 14. This includes both the regular edition and a limited collector’s edition.
Note, that if you cannot wait until mid July for your Prey fix the demo for the PC is currently available, whilst the Xbox 360 demo will be available soon.
