X-Flash v9i bug fix update
Art from our forums has released version 9i of his X-Flash homebrew firmware flashing application foe the PSP. X-flash is a firmware modification tool that flashes your PSP to accomplish a variety of changes to the PSP’s system firmware, and so should only be used by those that know what they are doing. Negligent use of this application could result in the bricking of your PSP, so be careful.
X-Flash v9i contains a small bug fix that most users probably wouldn’t have noticed, here’s what Art said:
“Version update to V9i because I found the verify warning bug still wasn’t fixed properly. It’s a false verify warning only, the files are and were always written correctly. Many people would never see this bug because it only occured after several flash writes
in the same session. It’s a bug fix update only.”
Art has also announced that in roughly 1 weeks time he will release X-Flash v10! This update will allow you to further customize your PSPs system firmware through the ability to change cursor clicking, and Icon selection sounds in the XMB menu! Remember, as will all firmware modification tools, X-Flash only works on PSPs running firmware version 1.5 at the moment. Hopefully firmware 2.5 and 2.6 users will be able to use this too via the 2.5/2.6 Kernel mode exploit!
