Xbox Live Microsoft Points Price Discrepancy: Cost of Points Increasing?
Thrills Killa sent an interesting piece of info that might just get some of you fired up. It seems the pre-paid Xbox Live 1600 Microsoft Point card, which was worth $19.99, is now being sold for $24 at Gamestop.com. It shouldn’t really be a cause for panic as Best Buy still sells it at $19.99; and Amazon at $20. It could only be GameStop exercising its right to increase product prices. But if you head on to EBGames.com, you’ll see the familiar $24.99 price tag. Just what’s going on? Are gamers willing to pay for the additional $5 just to access Xbox Live content?
I echo Thrills Killa’s sentiments when he asked: “Is Microsoft raising the price or companies like Gamestop robbing customers?“
