Angor’s DSLua RPG WIP Update

Angor, the developer of Snowball Battle for DS, has put the development of the homebrew game on hold while he waits for DSLua author Waruwaru to add Wi-Fi capabilities to the system. Add to that the fact that he’s working without his development kit which was lost somewhere in Germany. But that hasn’t stopped him from cooking up another DSLua game.

Currently in alpha development stage (splash screen + ingame), the yet-to-be-named DSLua game will have a medieval phantasy theme. Gameplay will be somewhere between hack n’ slack and RPG. Angor will create the game artwork, a welcome change from the Snowball Battle game where most of the artworks were borrowed from other sources. Also, the game will feature pre-rendered models in isometric perspective.

At this stage, the game menus are operational and the hero can walk on the scrolling map. Real playable elements will be added before the release of the first public beta. While we wait, take a peek at the early alpha screenshot. Hello Gandalf!
