New Crackdown Gameplay Video
Crackdown is a futuristic online take on the Grand Theft Auto genre. Playing as a superhuman agent, the object of the entire game is to enforce justice in Pacific City by any means necessary, as the city has already turned into a crime-ridden urban center.
Anything in the entire 3D playground can be used as weapon to ensure that the streets are cleaned up. You can clear tall buildings in a single bound and rain death from above, or you can mow your enemies down from far away. Players can even pick up cars and chuck ’em at the bad guys. And when players level up, their rides level right up along with them.
Sound good? We think it does, too. Check the video out for a taste of the action. Even though the game’s physics still need a bit of a tweaking in our opinion (it looks like everything’s in low-grav mode; even if the guy’s some kind of superhero, we should be able to at least perceive that he has some physical weight, right?), the picking-cars-up-and-throwing-them-around thing is still enough to keep our eyes glued on to this game.
