Unit Converter v0.1 Out Now
Access_Denied, has released a very simple, yet effective program for the numerically challenged. Unit Converter v0.1, with lack of better word, converts one unit of measurement to another. You can now know how many inches there are in a mile or vice versa, on the fly. Currently, when asked what type of unit you would like to convert, the only functioning option is Length. So, if you’re going to have deal with Area or Weight, this application is of no use to you at the moment.
Since it’s the first release for the program, there are still a few glitches that need to be ironed out. According to Maniakc’s forum post, when he tried to convert millimetres to centimeters, it showed that 100 centimeters is equal to 10 centimeters. I also got this error message when trying to convert millimetres to inches.
Also, when I tried converting centimeters to miles, it failed to convert.
Aside from making more “Math class friendly” by fixing those conversion errors and adding some equations for area and volume of shapes, there is also a sort of background and icon contribution going on over at the forum, to rid it of its plain appearance. As of the moment, I think Twin891 is winning Access_Denied’s favor.
Granted you can bring your PSP to school, Math class won’t be as scary when you have this application on. However, the QJ crew strongly advise you, youngsters out there, not to use this to cheat during your exams. The easy way out isn’t always the best way, you know.
