Famitsu Delivers The Review Digits

famitsuWeekly Famitsu has earned the rep as Japan’s most respected video game magazine specially when it comes to game industry news and video game reviews. With a weekly circulation of 800,000 per issue, making the good grades with Famitsu reviewers is likely to boost a game’s self-esteem and, more importantly, its sales.

Go Nintendo posted a page scan of Famitsu’s Review page (we assume this was from last week’s issue but we can’t tell) and we did the math for some of the games and here’s the score:

PSP
MotoGPMotoGP: 31 points
The MotoGP series burns rubber on the PSP track complete with support for 8 players over the Ad Hoc wireless network. North American release is September 5.

Kings Field 1King’s Field: Additional: 26 points
The classic PS game redone for the PSP with better sound and graphics. The remake includes several casino and mini-games such as slot machine, roulette poker which can be played in the town hotels.

DS
FFIIIFinal Fantasy III: 34 points
Needs no introduction, FFIII was number one with a bullet on Famitsu’s Most Wanted Games List. The North American version is expected this Fall.

Rune FactoryRune Factory: Shin Bokujou Monogatari: 33 points
From the makers of Harvest Moon, thishigh-scoring game features RPG elements. Players can tame and raise monsters, and use them as party members.

If you look at the Famitsu Magazine scan again, you’d notice there’s an unidentified DS Game wedged between FFIII and Rune Factory. It earned 26 points. Our eyes aren’t as good as they used to be so can someone please tell us what game this is?

Note:
The unidentified game mentioned above that got 26 is Dino King Battle: Taiko Kara no Hyuuryuusha. Thanks to Hellfenix for helping us ID it!
