Battlestations: Midway Gets Pushed Back to 2007

Battlestations: Midway

Eidos Interactive today confirmed that Battlestations: Midway will not be released on Xbox 360 and PC until some time in 2007. The game was originally supposed to ship before the end of the year and no official release date has been set as of yet. For those that have not heard anything about the game, it will let you have massive air, sea and underwater WWII battles in a unique mix of intense action and tactical gameplay.

You will have the ability to control dozens of water based naval ships such as submarines and battleships as well as air crafts to get your flying fix. So for the most part it looks like there will be three different types of gameplay, two water based and one air based.

Battlestations: Midway’s story follows naval recruit Henry Walker, whose first assignment is as a gunner at Pearl Harbor–the starting point of an incredible career at the heart of the US Pacific Fleet in 1942, in what was to become one of the most inspirational military campaigns in history. So for those of you out there that have been waiting for a new naval game be on the look out and when more news becomes available we’ll be sure to keep you informed.
