Lost Planet Deemed ‘Best Xbox 360 Game’ At Games Convention

Lost Planet

Capcom has announced that their upcoming action title Lost Planet: Extreme Condition has been awarded the “Best Xbox 360 Game” honours in Germany after a showcase at the Games Convention in Leipzig. A panel of distinguished judges consisting of influential journalists from across Germany decided to give the game their vote. Capcom had taken the Games Convention showcase as an opportunity to demonstrate Lost Planet‘s multiplayer mode. The multiplayer features were well-received by journalists attending the show, and could have been one more reason for the jury to deem the game as the Best Xbox 360 title.

Hiroshi Tobisawa, President of Capcom Europe commented: “With more than 180,000 people in attendance, the Leipzig Games Convention provided a great opportunity for gamers to experience Lost Planet’s gripping single player campaign and multiplayer modes. We are extremely pleased to have won the Best Xbox 360 Game award as it is a testament to its unrivalled gameplay experience.”

Sounds like we now have all the more reason to anticipate Capcom’s blockbuster title. The game’s currently scheduled for a release in early 2007. Still quite a few months away – time to boot up that good old demo again…
