The I.C.E. ModChip is certainly the hot topic in the Xbox 360 world this week. If you look anywhere that covers the 360 you’ll find cries of “It’s real!” and “It’s fake!” and “A dingo ate my baby!”. We here at 360Updates choose not to weigh in on that side of the debate and simply bring you the “evidence” that is brought to our attention. This time it’s the “diagram page” on I.C.E.’s website of the BIOS screen. While it seems all well and good at first, if you look closely (especially at the “B Back” icon at the bottom right) you can tell this image was clearly Photoshopped. Take a look for yourself:
I’m sure this drama will continue as the release date for this product draws closer, but if this thing ain’t real, it’s gone beyond a mere elaborate hoax and breaches scam territory, since these folks have been taking pre-orders.
(Thanks for the tip, Jason!)
