Brand New Splinter Cell: Double Agent screenshots
Set for release this October 17th for the box 360, Splinter Cell: Double Agent promises to be another successful stealth game for Ubisoft. Following in the footsteps of previous Splinter Cell titles, the story of Sam Fisher continues as we follow him on yet another outfit for the black-ops division known as the Third Echelon.
The story of Double Agent begins shortly where the previous Splinter Cell game Chaos Theory has left off. During a mission in the arctics, Fisher discovers that a large cache or red mercury is stolen by the terrorist group John Brown’s Army, or JBA. However, during this time, Fisher is also in the middle of dealing with depression due to a death in the family. He is then pulled out of his current mission. Later on, he is once again approached by the government and asked to work as a double-agent in an effort to infiltrate JBA’s ranks. And thus, the game begins.
Originally meant to have been launched in March, Ubisoft decided to postpone the game’s release to allow more development time. And will the wait be worth it? We’ll soon find out. In the meantime, we have some screenshots for you.
