Canon’s New Line of Portable Photo Viewers
Canon has revealed/launched a duo of new portable photo viewer gadgets to us consumers. They’re called the M30 and the M80. The specifications are pretty good. Of course it’s not hard to be better in this market since there are so little competition. Anyway, here are the specs:
- – 30/80 GB hard disk (30GB for the M30, and obviously 80GB for the M80)
- – 3.7” ultra-bright TFT screen with 160º viewing angle
- – CF and SD card reader
- – USB 2.0 Hi-Speed connection
- – Support for multiple image, video and sound file formats, including Canon RAW, MPEG, MP3 and WAV.
- – Extended PictBridge functionality
- – 4 – 8 digit image file password protection
- – 1/8” audio-out headphone jack
Although they’re not really made for it, they also have the option to play some MPEG files. So besides your hi-res pictures, you can also watch some videos. Also, since it has a headphone jacket, you can also use it to listen to your music (WAV and MP3 supported).
