X06: Rockstar promises exclusive GTA4 episodes

If you travel back to just after the E3 Gaming Expo that took place in LA this year, you may remember Peter Moore announcing that Rockstar Games would bring some exclusive content for the Xbox 360 version of Grand Theft Auto 4, the first GTA title to be released on an Xbox console on the same date as a Sony console. Although that was the last piece of GTA4 news that we have had to report since then, today is a whole different story, with Rockstar announcing that they will produce two episodes with “hours” worth of new gameplay exclusively for the Xbox 360 at X06.

Although the details of what will be included in the two hours worth of new gameplay were not released, the press were told that both of the two pieces of extra gameplay will be available “within months” of the game’s release next year. It is pretty obvious that these two new episodes will be up for download on the Xbox Live Marketplace after the release, but speculation has got the better of us at the QJ labs.

Could it be a couple of add-on missions, a map add-on, a new character, new minigames? Seems we don’t yet know the specifics of the game yet and we cannot make an educated guess on what the episodes could include. Stay tuned for news on whether the PS3 version of GTA4 will also receive exclusive content.
