Ultima 6 Project’s M2 out now
The U6 project has just officially released Milestone 2 (known as M2), which allows Ultima Online players to roam the towns of Cove and Britain, explore the new dungeon (if you can find it, that is), talk to the denizens, cast a few spells, die a few times (aren’t you excited?!), and yes, there will be gargoyles, along with tons more.
However, the guys of U6 project remind us that this is not the final release of these sections of the game, but at this point of development, they feel that it’s polished and good enough to be played and viewed by the public. And also, to get your comments and suggestions to help them improve on their current project, the M3.
The developers say that it’s best to uninstall M1 first (if you’ve already installed it) before you install M2 because the two might not work well together. Here are the installation instructions:
Download the 230MB .zip file then extract it into a temporary folder. Then, run the setup.exe program. It will set up all your shortcuts for you. If you have trouble getting it running, check the following:
- Remove all junk from your My DocumentDungeon SiegeBits folder.
- Check to make sure there aren’t any stray .dsres or .dsmod files in
Program FilesMicrosoft GamesDungeon SiegeResources or
Program FilesMicrosoft GamesDungeon Siegemods.
