New PSP next spring?
Sony has always aimed to dominate the gaming market, no doubt about this. It’s exactly the reason why we’re hearing rumors that Sony will be launching a refreshed version of the PSP by Spring 2007. (Hey, haven’t we read this somewhere before?) Someone actually disclosed that it will be launched on March 2007, equipped with Samsung 8GB flash drive, with built-in Eye Toy, and will come thinner and lighter than the current PSPs in the market.
Indeed, PJ McNealy, a research analyst at American Technical Research has revealed the new PSP flavors will reportedly include a hard-disk drive PSP and another one equipped with big flash memory but no hard drive. Pricing for these new PSP versions were estimated at $199 or above for the hard-drive PSP and below $199 for the flash drive PSP.
PS2 fans, on the other hand, will reportedly see another batch of silver-colored PS2s that will be launched on October 24, but only in limited edition. About 500 thousand units of this version will be retailed.
And as for the PS3, Sony plans to sell the PS3 along with their high-definition Bravia TV sets. The campaign and product boosts will continue and we’d be sharing more news as soon as we got hold of ’em.
