DDO Module 3: new spells for Levels 11-12 spells

Samera from Dungeons & Dragons Online has just posted up the new changes that’ll be introduced in Module 3. And the most recent changes they’ve made are the new spells now available for levels 11 to 12. But before you guys get excited, you should know that the new spells are still in testing, hence, they still have to see first whether these will work out before they officially integrate them into Module 3.

The new spells include Summon Monster VI, which allows you to call on a troll to do your fighting for you. However, don’t get too lazy because this troll will only fight for you for a brief time, then you’ll have to do the work yourself. Casting the Summon Monster VI spell will prevent you from casting other Summon Monster spells for six minutes. So basically, you won’t be able to have more than one monster fighting for you (for six minutes at least), thus preventing players from getting too lazy. Smart move from the DDO guys, huh?

We also think the Flesh to Stone spell is quite interesting (think Harry Potter’s “Petrificus Totalus”). As the spell’s name suggests, this spell will turn your target into a mindless stiff statue. If your enemy is broken or damaged while in statue form, their character will also have similar deformities or damage when they go back to their usual fleshy self. You should know though that creatures are harder to damage when they’re in stone form so you might wanna inflict damages to your enemies before you turn them to stone. The effect of the spell is actually permanent, but your enemy can remake its Fortitude saving throw every 2d6+6 seconds.

There are a LOT of new spells in store for you guys in Module 3 and we’re sure you’re all excited to try them out. But before you do, make sure you check the spell specs first by heading over to the DDO forums and check out Samera’s post. This will show you an outline of the new spells and what wicked stuff they can do. Just click on the read link below to satisfy your spell-throwing stints.
