New DOAX 2 trailer: all the girls, none of the gameplay

We’ve had boatloads of Tecmo and Team Ninja‘s Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 videos that show off the gameplay as well as the girls: volleyball, jet-skis, beach flagging, picture-posing and other minigames. Of course the girls are the stars of the game, but the game is all about the action (or in this case, the light-hearted vacation fun), right?

But this one’s unlike those that have gone before. This latest DOAX2 trailer from GameTrailers showcases the girls, and NOTHING BUT THE GIRLS. No jet skis, no volleyballs, just some beach exercises, and only a couple of instances with a camera. Well, those and a lot of their alternate costumes, too. I suppose we could call it the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition of DOAX2 trailers.

Eight minutes of the DOA girls? ‘Nuff said.

Seriously though, in Tomonobu Itagaki‘s interview with 1UP a couple of days ago he mentioned that the team is at 1000% (yes, one thousand percent…) on final touches for DOAX2 to prep it for its Thanksgiving release. Between the gameplay vids we saw before and this vid today, looks like everything’s all set for some partying at Zack Island come the game’s release. (Clicks Play one more time) Yep, all set. Just don’t forget that there’s also a ton of fun and action in the game that’s not about seeing the sights, ‘kay?
