Red Steel rewards those who follow the Bushido
The Japanese code of conduct, Bushido, dates itself back as early as the 11th century. Somewhat comparable to the European concept of chivalry, its code of moral principles are left unwritten and unsaid. Its followers believe the “way of the warrior” will grow on them after years of training and discipline.
Apparently, the same is being observed in the upcoming FPS, Red Steel. Aside from the well thought controls of the game, we heard that Ubisoft added the ability to use two swords at the same time. This feature is not readily available for everyone though. The player’s sword skill must first level up to a certain point by following, as we have mentioned, the laws of Bushido. The specific discipline adapted by the game is limiting a warrior’s kill: force an enemy to bow to you instead of dealing the last blow immediately.
Also, the controls for this dual katana action utilizes both the Wiimote and the Nunchuck, with each controlling one sword. This definitely sounds exciting for us as it seems to add dimension and depth to the game. Sure it is always fun to slash our way through a game, but finesse sometimes has its own charms.
