Tabula Rasa Soldier: Out to get some
All right, maggot, you’ve just survived boot camp as a Tabula Rasa recruit. You’ve mastered all the basic skills you’ll need to make sure you’re not gonna be a sitting duck when you run into the Bane, or at least live long enough to run.
Now, the real hell begins as you proudly stack on the gear befitting your new rank as a soldier. Soldiers are the Tier-two character class after the recruit, the other option being the Specialist, and are available to maggots who somehow manage to survive their first 10 levels as recruits.
Recruits can defend themselves, but soldiers don’t just stand there and take it – they give it to the opposition with extreme prejudice.
Aside from carrying sturdier medium-level armor, soldiers now pack the “good stuff” – the Machine Gun weapon class is now an available plaything for this grid-iron grunt, so you’ll be sure that the next time a Thrax soldier rears its ugly head, you’ll be peppering it with real clout, not some pea-shooter pistol. Soldiers also get some new class-specific skills, like shrapnel and rage, adding to their resume for destruction.
Once again, congratulations, maggot. You’ve just been promoted to cannon-fodder!
