Limited Edition MGS Portable Ops PSP packs
Last month, we told you about MGS Portable Ops PSP bundles being showed off at TGS and how there have even been pre-order promotions at EB and Gamespot. And as an update to those articles, we now have the details on when this sweee-heeet little bundle of (violent) joy will be released.
Apparently there are two (two!) limited edition packages of Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops packages scheduled for release in Japan this year; the premium package (the one on the right) and another one from Konami itself, dubbed as the KonamiStyle package. Both packages will include a camouflage-sporting PSP, the game, and a set of three MGS pins.
The only difference between the two bundles is that the Konami one will have a “skin of a warrior” PSP case with a matching “tail of the warrior” strap, while the other one will have… well, a simple MGS-inspired PSP case. What we’re wondering about though is why neither package includes the GPS receiver, which we all know will be used in the game. Hmmm.
Anyhoo, the premium and KonamiStyle packages will sell for Â¥29,190 (US$248) and Â¥39,690 (US$338) respectively and will be up for grabs on December 22nd in Japan. We’re SURELY not alone in saying this, but our PSPs are definitely up for a warrior makeover too, so how about bringing ’em bundles to U.S. too, eh Konami? *sweet smiles*
