Extra Lost Planet map will be FREE…eventually
Remember our earlier post where we said (wait, no, speculated) that you might need the map token from the collector’s edition to get the extra map for Capcom‘s Lost Planet or else shell out cash for it? Well, according to 1Up, you won’t need the map token nor any moolah to score the extra map ‘cuz it’ll be downloadable for free on Xbox Live Marketplace.
Yep, even though you don’t get the collector’s edition, you’ll still be able to get your hands on that extra map for FREE. The map will be put up on Marketplace not long after the game’s release.
So why bother getting the collector’s editon? Well, it has tons of other bonus stuff that you might deem worthy of the extra 10 bucks you’ll have to dish out:
- One exclusive bonus multiplayer map that will only be available in the Collector’s Edition until summer 2007
- Custom designed exclusive cover art, for collector’s edition only
- Premium packaging in a sleek SteelBook metal case
- Exclusive art book with concept sketches from all stages of development including character renders, VS renders and enemy art
- Soundtrack of select songs from the game
- Fan kit assets for gamers to create their own Lost Planet websites
- videos and trailers
- Wallpapers, AIM icons, board icons and signature banners
- Digital art files including screens, character art and environment shots
So…whether all that is worth shelling out 10 bucks for, you decide.
