Full Auto 2: Battlelines explodes into your handheld

In the history of gaming, when a game gets announced, the developers mention the platforms it will come out on. Sometimes, a game from an old console would later get ported to a newer platform, as in the case of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth (from PSone to PSP). But rarely does it happen that a game will get “down-ported” from a new console into an older platform. Of course, the term “down-ported” isn’t to be taken with a negative connotation.

Sega just announced that their “PS3 exclusive” title, Full Auto 2: Battlelines, will not be as exclusive anymore. Put your hands together, because now, it’s also going to head straight for the PSP! It’s going to be the same, and much of what is promised for the PS3 version will also be included for the handheld version.

Of course, you can’t just down-port a game without exclusive content, right? There’s going to be 56 new events in single-player story mode, 15 selectable cars designed specifically for the PSP version, numerous multiplayer and arena modes via ad-hoc connections, and a host of new weapons to get destructive with.

As for being able to exchange content between the PS3 and PSP… well, we can only keep our hopes up. We’re bound to hear more about this, so keep your eyes and ears to QJ for more.
