Ken Kutaragi on PS3 and his love for PlayStation
Remember those anime episodes that have characters saying they’re going to use “120% of their strength for a particular battle?” Well, Playstation visionary Ken Kutaragi is saying the same thing too, but he’s referring to his passion for the Playstation.
And because he’s into creating the said gaming console, he says that he’s okay with being relieved of his corporate duties (when Howard Stringer took over Sony about two years ago), so he can focus more on PlayStation creation. He shares, I still am an engineer and a designer, so being the creator is my happiness. I’ve dedicated 120 percent of my life and passion [to PlayStation], so it was very happy timing”.
And even though the PS3 has already launched in his homeland, this guy is far from quitting his job as “PS3 creator”. In fact, he envisions the PS3 as a sort of “media center”, where people can do other stuff besides playing games.
But that doesn’t mean the PS3 isn’t for gaming. He says that the launch titles give users an idea what the PS3 can do, in terms of graphics and power, and we sure can expect more in the year to come.
