As you guys have surely noticed, Wii and PS3 news and details are all the rage right now, and the info pouring in are all about the two consoles. But that doesn’t mean we won’t get to show our trusty PSP’s some handheld luvvin’ so even though we’re busy bringing you guys the latest buzz on the PS3 and Wii, we’ll always manage to squeeze in PSP news. Heck we don’t call it pspupdates for nuthin’, eh?

So anyway, the latest PSP-related news we scored is about the previously PS3-exlusive action racer Full Auto 2: Battlelines (PS3, PSP). Why “previously-exclusive” you ask? As Gino D. reports in a recent article, Sega has just announced that the said game will be ported to the PSP as well, and of course, you can’t just bring exactly the same game to both consoles, right?

The PSP version will have 15 different vehicles (designed specifically for the PSP), each with customizable skins and weapons (including grenades, M60’s, M203 grenade launchers, aircraft guns, mortars, fire & forget radar-guided missiles, and heat-seeking missiles). Full Auto 2: Battlelines for the PSP will also have the Unwreck feature, which allows players to go back in time to any part of previous gameplay and take another shot at turns, obstacles, or simply avoid enemy fire.

Currently being developed (or should we say cooked?) at the Deep Fried Entertainment labs, the PSP version will also have more than 15 original Full Auto tracks and as for the soundtrack, they’ve got a great lineup in store for us including Stone Sour, Sum 41, We Are Scientists, Wolfmother, and tons more. The multiplayer feature will also have different race modes like Head-On, Down & Back, and of course, the Arena Deathmatch mode — all via ad-hoc connections.

But with the recent news about PS3-PSP remote play, and how media content can be transmitted to the PSP, you never know, maybe you COULD have the best of both consoles worlds once Full Auto 2: Battlelines hits the shelves!
