First 10 minutes of Viva Pinata, the “other” Gears of War
Xboxyde has released the first 10 minutes of Viva Piñata. They just did this traditional first 10 minutes recently by bringing us the first 10 minutes of Gears of War.
For those of you who don’t remember, Viva Piñata is a unique game geared towards kids but definitely has lots of adult appeal (just watch the interactive video here). You get your pinatas to the dance floor where they shake their booty and then go have a booty call and that’s how you get baby piñatas – seriously!
What can we say about this game?
- The graphics are amazing. Spectacular.
- Gameplay is engaging. Unique. Twisted.
- This game is surprisingly addictive. You can try to act all hard-ass and stuff, but you have to admit after trying this game that it’s got you hooked.
This game is the Gears of War for the other half of the market. As we mentioned earlier, Viva Piñata is the second punch in Microsoft’s one-two-punch marketing combo. Microsoft wouldn’t have staked their holiday financial success on this game from Rare Ltd. if it wasn’t worth it.
As BlimBlim over at Xboxyde said, “Yes it looks cute, but beneath this cuteness there is a very complex gameplay.” And speaking of complex gameplay, what happens when a “complex” Piñata goes postal? Let’s see what marvelous Tim Buckley over at cad-comic.com has to say:
