First glimpse of Nintendo Wii Channels
Well, well, well, it seems that everyone’s going online as soon they get their hands on the next-gen consoles and as soon as they can get their connections set up. With the North American version of the online Playstation Store now busily humming to life, Nintendo is not one to be left out. Even though there are reports that Nintendo online won’t quite be ready come launch day… well, we’re sort of happy with what we’re seeing here anyway.
As seem from the shots that we found over at Kotaku’s gallery, we already get a preview of how the weather and news channels will be working. We kind of like the fact that you can tune in to a specific area, so if you’re in California with relatives living in Wyoming, you can still keep track of their local news so that you won’t be so left out the next time that you drop by.
The Mii channel and the message boards also seem to be functioning nicely, and of course, the Virtual Console seems up and ready to churn out those classic Ninty games that we have been craving for all this time.
Wii can’t wait!
