SegWii: Wii while you wait
For the dudes waiting over at the L.A. launch party, they received another Nintendo-sponsored treat of the two-wheeled variety. Resembling a cross between R2D2, a Segway, and a Roman chariot, the two SegWiis rolled around during the night’s festivities, providing gamers with a choice sampling of either Excite Truck or Wii Sports via an onboard Wii and flat-screen TV.
Spencer Yip over at Siliconera points out that if the handlers fall flat, they’ll smash those expensive looking TVs. As for our two cents, we couldn’t help but think they belonged on the set for Weird Al’s “White and Nerdy” music vid…Wii-erd. From the looks of it, Nintendo’s taking a different approach to Sony‘s recently concluded launch party, probably to keep their fans from breaking out, like what happened over at Boston. Smart move.
