Debunking false truths on the Wii’s sensor bar
This video from dxprog is his attempt to debunk the common misconceptions about the Wii’s sensor bar. The belief is that there’s a transmitter within the Wii remote, while the receivers are inside the sensor bar. But actually, what’s inside the remote is a little camera that just sends basic IR. And as for what’s inside the sensor bar, well, the IR transmitters are there.
So basically, you don’t really need the sensor bar. Or something like that. Anyway, maybe this vid will inspire you to make your own wireless sensor bar, just as dxprog (we’re assuming that’s him in the vid) predicted.
