Halo 3 Alpha on XBL? Pimps at Sea seen…
IGN user Violenj317 stumbled upon a bunch of users on XBL playing “Pimps at Sea (Alpha).” Now if you’re not quite familiar with the reference, Pimps at Sea has been a long-running Bungie joke. New0001, one of the users playing Pimps at Sea, is also the default user name of the original Halo.

So what does this mean? Well, nothing has been directly confirmed but a lot assumed that Bungie has progressed beyond the point of playing Halo 3 on Microsoft‘s test servers, and are now playing the closed game on Microsoft‘s public servers.
Yes, nobody is entirely sure if PaS is Halo 3, but according to IGN, a known Bungie employee was playing PAS at the same time a handful of other users were, thus giving weight to the PaS – Halo 3 assumption.
Makes you wish the public beta’s up now right? Oh well, spring seems so far away. As always, this is yet another semi-rumor, and you know how things are with Halo rumors, just look at the image on the upper-right.
