Blue Dragon scan hints at “Mighty Morphing Power Shadows”

Loud as a looming shadow (?) over Japan, the release of epic shadow-summoning RPG adventure Blue Dragon is just a few days away. Yes, shadows do make sounds, and they come in all shapes, sizes, and colors in this game. That’s why, with a bang and a whistle, the Japanese are once again celebrating for the ever-so-near December 7 launch.

Now, back to shadows, we know that this Mistwalker title has one unique twist to summoning creatures. They come from your shadow. Each character in your party will be able to call on their own “alternate persona” to lay waste on those puny little baddies.

While we can’t, for the life of us, read Japanese, we could safely assume that the scan below shows the various shadow-summons of your party. Of course, there’s the titular Blue Dragon. But we’re also shown the others (now we’re just making these names up, ayt?): Green Taurus, Red Phoenix, Yellow Sabertooth, and White, umm, Ape… Bat.

Hmm… Blue, green, red, yellow, white… Y’know, from what it seems, maybe if you get like some magic belt or something, all of your party’s shadows can merge into one gigantic robot, “Power Rangers” style?
