WiiCR: a media player solution for your Wii
So what exactly is WiiCR? Well, its name is a Wii-word-play on VCR, so that should give you an idea of what it does. And no it doesn’t run on your Wii. It runs on your PC, but the Wii can access it through a webpage.
WiiCR is a media player solution for the Nintendo Wii. The application intends to act as a streaming media server and is capable of transcoding almost any video file to a suitable .FLV for an embedded flash player. The application also allows for browsing of the remote file system so that users can select videos. It also allows users to view text files, look at .JPGs and play mp3s.
Instructions for installation and download links are available at the WiiCR’s wiki at WiiBrew Wiki. If you want to try out the program and see if it’s good enough for you, just click on our read-link below.
