LotRO wins prestigious Gamespy award
Gamespy has just awarded Turbine Inc.’s Lord of the Rings Online with an award that might just become void when the game finally hits stores: The 5th Annual Game of the Year “When It’s Done” Award. This award is given to highly-anticipated titles that are looking very very good but still haven’t been released yet.
On a side note, three of the four past recipients of this award – Duke Nukem Forever, Team Fortress 2, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. – still haven’t seen the light of day, and LotRO has actually been in development longer than any of them. If that little piece of trivia made your heart skip a beat, don’t worry. According to Turbine, LotRO will be hitting stores in Spring of 2007. We wonder, will they have to give the award back?
