RUMOR: Virtua Fighter 5 to support true HD
This fuzzy snapshot of Virtua Fighter 5‘s supposed box art was shown at IGN.com. Now if you squint really really hard, you’ll see a lot of indecipherable Japanese characters (getting cross eyed…).
Maybe we weren’t looking hard enough or we just couldn’t understand Japanese, but supposedly the box art says that Virtua Fighter 5 would be able to support 1080p or True High Definition. So far, there have been no announcement from Sega regarding this which made a couple of eyebrows go into orbit regarding the claim considering the Virtua Tennis hype.
This is almost comparable to pictures of the Loch Ness monster, Big Foot, La Chupacapra, the Yeti, and alien spacecraft. We’re hoping this picture would not join their ranks.
With Virtua Fighter 5 coming to Japan and the U.S. in February, we’ll find out soon enough.
